A day in the romantic French town of Evian

Welcome to the small romantic French town of Evian on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Away from the hustle and bustle of a city, crowd and daily routine, the juxtaposition of a small town alongside the blue lake and the beautiful snow covered white alps is truly an oasis for lovers.

It was a chilling afternoon and one would love to enjoy the tender sensations from the lover's warmth, melting and cuddling in each other's arms with a cup of coffee in one of the lovely and cozy coffee shops present there.

The sublime presence of delicate wooden unique art pieces all over was splendid.

Some of the artists tried to reflect their thoughts through their art.

Those lovely wooden pieces would make you stop and reflect.

Needless to say, an art is an expression of one's inner mind. Sometimes it reflects contradictions, and conflicts and sometimes a melting pot of peace, love and beauty.

When I was walking down the lane witnessing all these fabulous pieces of art, I was completely engrossed with the lovely and artistic expressions of those unknown artists!
I salute them.

"The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later,  when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life"
                                                 by William Faulkner

A leisurely stroll by the lanes of the picturesque town while witnessing the various art forms took me to yet another wonder - nature's wonder -  natural spring water.

The famous mineral water brand "Evian"  is named after this small town and collects the water from several spring water sources present in this town. It was discovered in 1789.

I must say it was a lucky winter afternoon for me. I had seen marvellous art forms, drank water from the natural spring and then saw an exhibition of our beloved little tramp Charlie Chaplin in this palatial white building called the Palais Lumière.
The serene nature, unruffled small town along with exquisite artwork and then an insight into the life and thoughts of Charlie Chaplin at the end of the trip - all were truly an antidote to the monotonous routined life so that one could start again afresh with new thoughts and reflections.
